Got a lot done today...

QUOTE OF THE DAY
"I pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion just because of the expression it leaves on my face." ~ Johnny Depp
Woke up and the whole fam went grocery shopping. This always proves interesting since Steve's grocery shopping tactics drive me insane. He kept walking off down random aisles, leaving me to push the girls in the cart, trying to find him. I mumbled something about kicking his butt and when we finally saw him at the other end of an aisle, Grace yelled, "Daddy, we're gonna KICK YOUR BUTT!!!" Some people chuckled. I turned 8 shades of red and shushed her loudly. What did she do? Yelled it again. Louder. Oy...

Came home and decided to take the girls outside for a bit. Although it would seem chilly or downright cold to those in warmer climates, to us northeasterners, the 50 degree weather today was "balmy" and I wanted the girls to get some fresh air.

Changed my mind 30 minutes later when I got cold and dragged them back inside, where Steve and I kicked ass on cleaning and reorganizing some parts of the house.

Steve's old employee came over to watch the Steelers game and we ordered hot wings, drank beer, and shook our heads at the two children who kept singing songs about poop and "fluffing" (which is their word for farting). [sigh] They make me so proud.

Put the girls to bed in time to watch Desperate Housewives. Thank GOD all of my shows are starting to show new episodes this week. I was seriously becoming bitter.

So all in all, a fantastic "family day" where no one fought, no one yelled, only a few people cried, and my cat got his first dose of laxative. Life doesn't get much better than that... ;)

Sounds like a nice day.

LOVE your quotes! Glad your shows have finally stopped rerunning. *Grumble grumble* Grey's Anatomy was just a jumble of recaps from last year's episodes. Don't they realize we NEED these shows to live vicariously through damn it?!
