Things I Learned (or Relearned) Today

~ Don't tell your children they have a whopping $1.00 each to spend when you go shopping somewhere. Because they are very few things that only cost a dollar, and they're going to end up buying wooden train whistles that they then blow ALL... DAY... LONG.

~ Coffee plays a HUGE role in being able to function as a "normal" human being.

~ Although Daylight Savings Time is a wonderful thing in many ways, it can also seriously screw with one's ability to fall asleep at a reasonable hour the first few nights after the clocks have been changed.

~ When all members of a household have a cold at the same time, it's inevitable that when some of you are going through a period of having the chills and being colder than all hell, the others will be going through a period of feeling feverish and being ridiculously hot.

~ Nighttime cold medicine for children is a godsend and it's a shame you can't offer it to them on a regular basis for no reason other than to knock them out cold at a fairly early hour.

I'm having the opposite problem w/ the time change. I'm tired earlier than usual, but then waking up at like 3....ugh. Which I think is why I'm in turn tired *earlier*.

We have one of those train whistles, lol.

Oh GEEEEZE.....we have those stupid whistles...I have learned if the kids are going to "buy something" I'll loan them a couple extra bucks if they get something QUIET....lol

I heart kids nighttime cough meds too... :)

We have a couple of those whistles around the house. But as soon as the kids put them down and forget about them for a while, I try and go hide them well in their rooms. When they do have them, they blow those damn things ALL DAY LONG!
