Ugh...

Grace and I are getting our asses kicked by a cold. We'll live, I'm sure, but it still sucks. Especially with so much to do this week for Christmas.

I got the brilliant idea to make some of the Christmas gifts I'm giving to people. I'm now regretting that decision since I'm in no mood to do it. But I have no choice because I am officially out of all money until after Christmas. [sigh] Stupid, stupid Allison. LOL!

We have Christmas for my entire family here at our house. That's 12 to 14 people (plus the four of us) that I have to prepare the house and food for. I like having Christmas here, don't get me wrong. But the prep work always kind of sucks. Especially when you feel like shit AND you've decided to be all crafty for people. Shit. LOL!

Yesterday, Steve turned 32. It was a pretty low-key day, but nice.

Yesterday, Grace started begging for a BB gun. What the hell? And no, she didn't watch "A Christmas Story." Steve's friend stopped down with a new pellet gun and asked Steve to sight it in. Grace took a bunch of shots with it and is now obsessed with getting her own gun. [sigh] I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I will say that she is a damn good shot. LOL!

Anyway, I'll be busy this week, but I'll try to pop in with updates and pictures of my oh-so-lovely homemade gifts. (Yeah, right.) LOL!

Get better soon. We're on the tail end of Fifth's Disease, throat and ear infections for the kids and a sinus infection for me. Good times at our house, let me tell ya.

Handmade gifts should be banned. It's all Cori's fault--he heard me talk about doing scrapbooks for the grandparents and he should have reminded me of what a bitch it is to actually *finish* the damn things. As of 11:30 last night the suckers are finally done and now I have to mail them (post office is another major hurdle for me--both mentally and physically).

So, is Grace going to get safety goggles in her stocking now?

Sounds like Steve will have a hunting buddy before too long...;-)

Hope you and Grace feel better quickly and that Steve and Hannah don't catch it!

Oh September, I remember the year that I decided to make scrapbooks for people. I was up until 3 AM on Christmas Eve finishing those bastards. [sigh] And last year, those damn shadowboxes did the same thing to me. Will I NEVER learn? I'm really kind of slow, I think. LOL!

TJ: LOL! I dunno. Grace ADORES animals, so I don't know if she could ever actually shoot one. (Not that Steve dislikes animals, but, well, ya know...). I'm thinking/hoping that she follows in Steve's stepdad's shoes instead. He's an unbelieveable long-range target shooter and holds several national records from competitions. I'd much prefer that over traipsing around in the damn wilderness with idiots wearing flourescent orange vests. LOL!

Chelle: Yes, I do have rednecks in my home. [sigh] ;)

I've never been able to complete homemade gifts. I BOW to you!! This year I made my first ever homemade gift (actually two) a calendar for my mom and a DiVinci tile for my brother (that was actually supposed to be his wedding gift in July!!) I hope Gracie and Hannah have a wonderful Christmas!!!
