My yard is a dangerous place to be...

That's what I learned the other day when the girls and I went out front to rake and jump in the leaves out there.

First, the yard is teeming with leaf monsters. They're horrible, evil creatures that look like a pile of leaves with a human head. You have to be careful, because they can get pretty vicious when provoked.

And then if you're not really careful, the Leader of the Leaf Monsters will hover over you in his UFO and try and shoot you with laser beams.

LOL! Seriously though, how cool is that last picture. And no, I didn't plan that or even notice it until I uploaded the pictures onto my computer. Weird.

In other news, I'm pleased to announce that Grace has been chosen as Student of the Month for her classroom for November! She's soooo proud (and so are we). They choose one boy and one girl out of each classroom in the elementary schools. She'll have her picture and a short biography displayed on the school bulletin board all month, and her name will be in our local paper sometime next week. Yay!

It's always kind of nice when your kid gets recognized for something good like that. You just have to think that you must be doing at least something right in raising them, ya know?

Love the pictures of the girls....they are too cute. There must be something about "Graces"...we that are privileged to have that name are always the GOOD children! or maybe I'm just bias since I'm a Grace too...ha ha

WAY TO GO, GRACE! She should be proud!

Yay Grace! That is nice.

Those pictures are super cute. You should frame both of those in matching mat colors and frames. That would look great. Such pretty girlies you have. ;)

Those pictures (and your discriptions) are a hoot! And congrats to Grace. We had that "student of the month" thing when I was a kid too. You won a nerdy little white hat and the "honor" of leading the lunch line. I was picked... on the last month of the year. I was such a dork.

WTG, Grace!!! She must be sooo proud of herself. That shot with the leaves is hysterical; is Steve by any chance a Star Wars buff?

Thanks guys! We really are so proud of her. She can be a bit, um, "energetic" at home, so we really weren't sure how she was acting in school. Now I guess I can assume our parent/teacher conference next week won't be so bad. LOL!

Tink, was your dorkiness really ever in question? LOL! ;)

September, no, I'm afraid that Steve couldn't care less about Star Wars. LOL!

Chelle, I've actually completely converted to digital scrapbooking now. And I just scrapped those today. ;)

Thanks again guys!

Cute!!! I need to move to digital. *sigh* I'm so not open to change. LOL I WISH I could afford a digital SLR and then maybe I'd be more willing. What kind of camera do you have? DH has a digital, but the stinking 30 minute pause between the time you push the button and the time it ACTUALLY takes the picture annoys the crap out of me. LOL
