This afternoon, I'll be attending a 3rd birthday party for my sister's dog. That's right. You read that correctly... her friggin' dog. Ugh. My sister loves her dogs. She has two horses German Shepards and they're her world. I truly believe she loves them more than she loves her husband (and she'll tell you that if you ask her). Now I'm all for loving your pets. I really don't love mine as much as I should (LOL), but there's nothing wrong with having a soft spot for your furry friends.

But when you arrive at your neices' birthday party and hand out invitations to a birthday party for your dog, something's just not right. She'll never have kids (by choice), so I suppose her dogs are the equivalent for her. But for the love of god...

We'll go, because Grace and Hannah thinks it's neat that Hunter is having a birthday party. But if we didn't have kids, I can guarantee you, we'd skip that little shindig and instead, head to the camping/beer fest some good friends of mine host every year. [sigh] Someone pass me a beer...

That is hilarious! Does Hunter get his own cake too? Or does everyone get to divvy up a delectable Alpo stew?

Now I thought I was warped with how much I love my dog; but I think I've now been topped.

Hey, perhaps Hunter will prefer some beer too. That could make things interesting.

Actually, he (and his sister, Katie) do indeed get their own cake. Made with dog-friendly ingredients. However, it's all fit for human consumption, so Grace usually chows down on some of it too. [sigh]

Wait until you see the pictures later tonight when I post them. There's usually even party hats. [rolling eyes]

Oh nooo! You poor thing! She's not one of those types who allows her pooch to french kiss, I hope.

We watched one episode of AFV where this girl let her dog clean her teeth. It made me want to take a swig of Listerine just to get the icky feel out of me. And that's taking into account the junk I had to endure in survival training.

This seriously amuses me for reasons I can't quite pinpoint. Kayci had a birthday party for her hamster last week but alas, no party hats.
