"Vacation" my ass...

How come my parents didn't have cool stuff like this when I was growing up? Sheesh. I didn't have heavy moving machinery to ride around in. I think my kids are spoiled. ;)

Would it be mean to say that I'm looking forward to tomorrow when the girls go to daycare and I have the whole house to myself? Don't get me wrong... we've had a blast... Slip & Slides, the pool, skid loader rides, sprinklers, picnics, the park, etc. But I'm freakin' tired and have about run out of things to entertain my children with. I don't even care that I have to actually work tomorrow. It'll be quiet. And there will be no sippy cups to fill or boo boos to put bandaids on, or fights to break up. Ahhhh...

In other news, Grace lost her third tooth yesterday. She was sleeping over at Grandma's, so my mom got to play tooth fairy, and I haven't even seen her yet with her little gap-toothed grin. She's growing up so fast...

That's a great pic! I do know what you're talking about. We came back from vacation and while we had a great time, it took me another 2 weeks to recover. I was exhausted.

Sometimes, the peace is a very welcome thing. We're fortunate in that we have one child and he is usually very content entertaining himself. And he is also fun to go do things with too. But as I get older, I'm having a tough time keeping up with him-- and I'm biking close to 200 miles per week. This boy will soon whoop me!

I never had any heavy equipment either. Once, I received a Tonka dump truck as a gift. I remember riding it down my driveway when I hit a crack and it dumped me forward so I could do a lip skid. It stinkin hurt!

Thanks for the post and have a great 4th!

Grace looks like she is having a ton of fun! What a cool chick. ;) Hannah is more my speed, though. Ha! She looks like she is trying to figure out what the fuck she is doing up there! LOL

Ah, looks like fun! I remember riding on my Grandpa's tractor or the back of his truck (sitting on the tailgate with out feet hangin off... Not what I would let me kids do! LOL). Just make sure the keys are gone and no joy riding takes place as the girls get older. LOL. I could see Grace hatching that one.
