And so ends another year...

So there's exactly 54 minutes left in 2007, and I honestly can't say that makes me sad. This year wasn't horrible by any stretch of the imagination. But it sure as hell wasn't stress-free either. Lots of stuff happened. Nothing horribly traumatic, and nothing as bad as some people had to deal with. But it definitely had it's ups and downs. I'm not going to do a recap, because you can just read back over this blog if you're really that interested (and I don't know why you would be... LOL!). And I'm not going to list my new year resolutions, since I don't make them. Sure, there are some things I want to change or improve on in 2008, but I'm not stupid enough to put them in print or honestly expect them to happen. LOL!

I guess the bottom line is that it's the end of another year and I'm still happily married, still have two happy, healthy kids, and I still have a roof over my head and food on my table. One can't really ask for much more than that, now can they?

So here we are on New Year's Eve. The girls are asleep on the living room floor behind me, Steve's asleep on the recliner in the next room, and I'm on the computer, drinking a beer, listening to Dick Clark's New Year's Eve special, and emailing some friends here and there. When the ball drops at midnight, I'll probably smoke a cigarette, finish my beer, and head on upstairs to bed. Because I'm a party animal like that. And I'm cool with that too. My big, bad partying days are over for the most part, I'm afraid.

So as we end yet another year, I'll just leave you with some photos I took today. It snowed overnight last night, so the girls and I spent the day outside getting some fresh air. Not a bad way to end the year if you ask me...
