I couldn't figure out why you were asking until I saw that in that picture, the ceiling looks WAY darker than the walls. LOL! That must just be the lighting/shadows. It matches the walls.

(Which is Behr "Fossil Stone" BTW. I LOVE it because it looks sage green sometimes, and other times, wehre there's a lot of light, it looks more khaki with sage undertones.)Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03392199194930506037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933044.post-1136772213625495642006-01-08T21:03:00.000-05:002006-01-08T21:03:00.000-05:00WOW, Alien! I was laughing when I read your first comment because I had thought the same thing when it originally happened.

But I, like you, could've screwed it up too. But truth is it really IS an easy pattern. Every other row is identical, so once you get a few rows down, you should be golden just by comparing. But because it was right in the beginning of laying it, he hadn't had that whole "rhythm" establish yet.Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03392199194930506037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933044.post-1136693645256481512006-01-07T23:14:00.000-05:002006-01-07T23:14:00.000-05:00Dude I wish I could be there watching him work so ...Dude I wish I could be there watching him work so I could actually learn how to do cool stuff like that.

I was just giving you a hard time, I figured it had to do with something on the edge and making cuts.

I could single-handley screw that pattern up NOT with cutting, I'm sure. heheheMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17047204366244151731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933044.post-1136690726249379032006-01-07T22:25:00.000-05:002006-01-07T22:25:00.000-05:00YAY for the floor! LMFAO!

Mary, long story short is that it involved a cut along the wall. We had snapped lines and worked it out so that any and ALL cuts to the tile would only be the 12" tiles cut exactly in half throughout the entire room. He did the third row he laid from the wall to the chalk line in the middle of the room. The next row, he went back from the chalk line to the wall. Well when he got to the wall, he realized that in the row before, he had put 2 6" tiles where a 12" tile cut in half should've gone. So he had to pop those two rows out.

Since, at that point, there were only like 4 half rows laid, it was actually pretty easy to have screwed it up. The truth is, if I hadn't been staring at them intently, we probably never would've caught it, and probably no one would've ever noticed since most of the tile will be under the cabinets anyway. LOL!

And thanks everyone! Yes, I'm definitely excited!Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03392199194930506037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933044.post-1136688548018706602006-01-07T21:49:00.000-05:002006-01-07T21:49:00.000-05:00OMG!!!!
